      Customer Service Associate Interview

      19 Oct 2017
      Anonymous interview candidate
      La Vergne, TN
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at JPW Industries (La Vergne, TN) in Oct 2017

      Interview

Went through staffing agency who brought this position to my attention. I was slightly intrigued until reading reviews here. I went to the interview apprehensively to avoid crossing the staffing agency. I wanted to hate this place and was constantly on the lookout for some of the listed complaints. The interview started with the head of HR(female) coming out and telling me her success story. I was then greeted by two interviewers(female) who showed me around. I was very nervous and they could probably tell instantly I was not their person (I do not interview well) but they took the time to hear me out, show me around, and make sure I was comfortable. They did not spin me out the door the second they realized it was not going in the best direction. There was some construction going on making the interview unconventional. The workplace was comfortable and everyone seemed to be working independently until paths crossed with another and it seemed like a happy and healthy workforce. The listed reviewed seem like the work of a bitter and disgruntled person who has made it hard for qualified individuals to comfortably advance locally. My interest level pre and post interview on a scale of 1-5 was probably 1 before and 4.5 after. This is a proud and interesting company and I will probably apply again in the future. Lesson learned, do not trust glassdoor trolls. I really wanted to post a review for any other nervous interviewers, give JPW a chance.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

They did not ask me any difficult or unexpected questions however the interview was less of a Q& A and more like "Showing the ropes." It made it very difficult for me to display any skills in a professional or conversational context and was kind of an interesting approach to gauging someone's confidence. This style of interview made it very hard to gauge their interest in me as a candidate.
