I interviewed at Jackrabbit Technologies (Huntersville, NC)
Interview
Great interview process starting with a phone screening from their HR staff; it moved rather quickly to the General Product Manager which was more of a conversation of what I was looking for and what they needed and, most importantly, culture fit. After that, I moved onto the technical portion which was either a faux UX exercise I could do in preparation for the interview OR present one of my case studies from my previous role. Great interview again and felt more like a conversation about how I could be an asset to the team. The final interview was with the Chief Product Officer and we spoke more on strategic vision and the product roadmap. I didn't know if I was getting an offer at this point, but my wife told me it's most likely, and sure enough it happened. I think the whole timeline was about 3-4 weeks from initial contact to offer.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What do you believe you strongest skills are that would add value to the role?
Interview screen: Asked various questions though a few were irrelevant.
Overall, very old school. They don’t have a system to streamline their interview scheduling. During the call, they go down a list of questions and that’s it.
I had a different company do that recently and that company is a century old. This company is 20 years old. They asked me 10 questions and then they were done.
Anyway, I got a rejection. It appears I was a diversity interview. They got that completed for the month. After reading their GD reviews I realized they aren’t looking to diversify their workforce even when they had the opportunity. Sad, but true.
I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Jackrabbit Technologies in Feb 2022
Interview
The interview was a 5 part process. There was an initial phone interview. Next there was a virtual interview with the manager. I had to complete a core values assessment.
