It was an on-campus recruitment drive where the first round was an aptitude test. The test was open to students from Instrumentation, E&TC, and Mechanical branches. Being an E&TC student, we were given stream-specific sections—one for Instrumentation and E&TC, and another for Mechanical students. The aptitude test wasn't particularly difficult but also not very easy. To prepare, I recommend focusing on Reasoning, Quantitative skills, Basic Electronics, Electrical principles, and key theorems like Newton's laws.
It seemed that the shortlisting was more competitive, with only top scorers making it through, rather than a fixed percentage like 70-80% from the 75 questions.
Out of around 100 students, 11 of us were shortlisted for the next Technical round. Before the technical interview, we were given a brief presentation about the company, covering their background, products, teams, goals, and salary structure.
The technical interview itself focused entirely on the fundamentals of my field. Unfortunately, I wasn’t selected for the next panel round, as they were prioritizing Instrumentation students with strong knowledge of PLCs, sensors, transducers, etc.
Tip: Having proficiency in foreign languages like Japanese or German is a significant advantage. The company showed a preference for candidates with foreign language skills over those without.
