I applied online. I interviewed at Juniper Networks (Bengaluru) in Feb 2021
Interview
I applied for a specific position but the interview was conducted for a different position. I was put through a screening test, which is nothing but a usual interview by the hiring manager. She asked me regular questions that are generally expected for the position that I aplied for.
Unfortunately, I was not shortlisted after their so-called "screening round!". The wors part is, they did not have the courtesy to let me know the feedback.
Before applying for a position, I generally go through the JD. Only if I like the domain and the work will I apply for it. Here too, I applied for the position only after I am convinced that I am a good fit.
I have a gut feeling that the so-called "screening process" is a process that is established to sceen out some deserving candidates too. Juniper was one of such companies that I wanted to work with, mainly because of the technology domain that they are in.
I'd have been happy had I been put through some tests and interviews and ulimately not been selected.
