Applied through an agent. First stage interview with HR was very positive and she was very friendly and engaging. Second round was face to face with two of the hiring managers. First manager was again friendly and engaging and asking questions related to the role. Second manager then swapped out with the first manager and she was instantly cold faced and hard, also very matter of fact of her status in the company and made me feel uneasy instantly. I would never want to work with a person that has so much self importance and felt the need to tell me about her personal career history and then think it is fine to ask if I can write code when the job description doesn't ask for such requirements. She also asked why I had applied for the role as a Digital Manager, when i hadn't! She got very agitated and defensive when she searched that they had changed the title internal and she was unaware. For someone who has only worked for the company two weeks she is the total opposite of the ethos and culture they say they are looking for. The agent rang and instantly said she gave you a grilling i heard! Which says it all. An interview is a two way process and while you are judging me I am also deciding if you are the right for for me. I would have withdrawn my application if I was faster than them.
