Interview
You are first given a phone interview before following up with an in-person interview. It's important to be articulate and open--a lot of the jobs in the agency deal with learning new skills and dealing with difficult authors and people. Just be open, honest, and not too eager. Remember that an agent deals with very intense personalities all day and have been pitched in every way possible. Being open and honest will get you farther than a hard sell of your skills.

You are given a test to assess your editing and pitching skills during the interview. Better make sure that you can spell correctly without spell check! It would also be a good idea to do some research on pitching projects.
