I completed a total of nine interviews overall. It started with the recruiter, followed by an interview with the hiring manager. After that, I was invited onsite, where I met with six team members throughout the day. Two additional leaders weren’t able to make it, so those interviews were scheduled for the following day instead.
By the end of it all, I felt confident that I did my best. I either got it or I didn’t. About two weeks later, I received a survey asking about my candidate experience. I took the time to give an honest assessment, sharing how communicative and engaged the team had been throughout the process. But near the end of the survey, I was asked: “Do you understand why you were removed from consideration for this role?” I was floored. I could not believe that I was potentially finding out I wasn’t selected in that way.
I emailed the hiring manager immediately to confirm and get feedback. She confirmed and provided strong, balanced feedback.
After putting so much time and energy into the process, it still felt cold to be informed through a survey. 9 interviews and no phone call. I would not pursue an opportunity with Kenvue in the future.
