The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Kiewit Corporation in Sept 2010
Interview
Met Kiewit representatives at a career fair and was offered an interview the next day. Interview consisted of a 3 person panel and was, for the most part, a casual experience. Most questions were fairly open-ended, such as "tell us about yourself" and "what do you know about Kiewit". I was also asked (2 or 3 times) if I was looking to join the company for long term or just looking for experience. About 35-40% of the interview consisted of them asking me questions and the rest involved me asking questions. Overall the interview lasted a little over an hour. While interviewing it seemed that leadership was an important quality in a candidate.

Question 1
We are interviewing a lot of people today, why should we hire you? What do you have that the others don't?
Simple, Interviewed at a college career fair. Not many technical questions but more situational. Met with two Kiewit employees in the same field as the job that was being hired for. They provided great insight for not only them to make a good candidate selection but it gave the candidate a good understanding for them to know if it is the right company.
I applied online. I interviewed at Kiewit Corporation (Houston, TX) in Apr 2026
Interview
Very fast and very professional. Answered all my questions and asked good sound questions from me. Explained the expectations of the job & told me exactly how the hiring process would go
Easy casual conversation. They want to see that you're open to the lifestyle that comes with this type of role. Willing to relocate. And willing to work long hours. Good attitude
