Application
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at King (London, England) in Jul 2017
Interview
A brief chat with a hiring manager, then a phone interview with the team lead (half an hour).
Then a live onsite interview with three people: the team lead, and two engineers, one hour each.
Applied through agency. The interviewer had negative attitude to me since the beginning of the telephone interview. He was asked those stuff that I don't have in my cv explicitly and that aren't in job spec trying to show me it is not for me. To his surprise I was able to answer him all those technical questions, however I said honestly that I do know their products - games. It looks that they treat their products like a 'must have' to go to the next round. Just wonder how many strong technical people he rejected due to this? King games are not 'high science' - strategy games that would require months to know the rules.
