This was the by far the best interview process I’ve ever experienced. It took about 2 weeks, and might’ve been faster if my schedule wasn’t in the way.
Logistically it worked in a few rounds for me:
1. Phone screen (~30 min)
2. An in-person meeting with a couple team members & my recruiter + an office tour (~1 hour)
3. Another in-person meeting with one more team member, my recruiter, and the head of staffing (~1 hour)
I also had to take a few tests (IQ, personality) to make sure I’d be a good cultural fit after my first in-person interview.
You’re in direct contact with your recruiter from day 1. That’s unprecedented nowadays and a nice personal touch.
Unfortunately, I ultimately decided not to accept. I was right on the cusp, since everyone was so accommodating, hard working, and nice.
Even though they were very transparent from the beginning, the salary was just too low, the time frame for upward mobility was too unpredictable, and my benefits now (surprisingly) are comparable. They made sure I was absolutely comfortable with my decision, because they want people to stick around.
Too bad I wasn’t 100% all in to justify a pay cut, because it seems like a fantastic place. I wish all companies would take the kind of effort to make sure both the candidate and the organization are a good
match.
