Two recruiters called me within a week to figure out which department I would like best, they were super nice and told me all about the company and the positions, very informative! A week or two later they invite me to come interview at the headquarters in Columbus. They fly me out there, put me in a hotel, and even have a relocation specialist drive show me apartments around the city. Of course, any sane person would think things were going well, almost as if you had the job in the bag! Why would they be showing me apartments if they weren't going to hire me? At least that's what I thought at the time.
Later that day I go to the office for my interview, the Human Resources women once again were so friendly and made me feel so welcome! But once I sat down to interview, the vibe shifted. I spoke with 2 people for 30 minutes each, the whole time with unimpressed looks on their faces.
Anyways, its a week later and I get a voicemail saying they're moving on with other applicants and to call her if I want to talk about it. Thanks but I'll pass.
Overall, the experience was good, but quite confusing, almost like I was being strung along. HR telling me how great my work is how perfect I am for this position and then the VP couldn't give me the light of day. It's too bad really, because I think I would've done a great job on that team. Oh well, on to the next!
