Very negative experience, especially while dealing with the recruiter. Interviewers were very arrogant and expected me to solve the problem they wanted me to. A third party recruiter reached out to me. I was told I was applying for Senior software engineer position in their NYC office for Lifion. The TPR also sent me the detailed the job description which clearly mentioned "Senior Software Engineer" and job description matching senior role. Since I was remove, I was told I had to do two rounds of phone screen before they could bring me in. The first round was an hour long phone screen. The first question was binary Tree inversion from lc. Since, i solved it in 15 minutes, the guy asked me another leetcode hard question. There was only 15 minutes left, so they told me its okay if I could just describe my approach. The second phone screen, I was expecting to be an hour long. But it was 3 hour long with 3 different sets of interviewers. I did it anyways. I got passed this second round. During this process, I reached out to recruiter several times regarding the type of interview I should be expecting, but they never replied back. Then they asked me to come onsite. ONsite was another 3 rounds. Again, the recruiter was very quiet about the type of interviews I should be expecting. The question during onsite was difficult for a company like Lifion. Mostly mediums and hards. After the interview, the recruiter would call me several time., each time saying he doesn't have the answer yet, but was interested to know my expected compensation. Each time I declined to answer. I think they called me 3 different times to discuss numbers. Finally after like 10 days recruiter calls me saying they are extending offer, but for software engineer role. I was frustrated at this point as I applied to senior role. The recruiter said the third part recruitment agency submitted me for lower level and there is nothing they could do. I declined the offer. Also, the reimbursement for travel took close to 2 months. Reached out multiple times regarding this. Stay away from this company. On the positive side, got free tour of NYC :)
