The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Lowe's Home Improvement (Madison, AL) in Jun 2011
Interview
To get an interview took a long time. Everything from the time you apply is automated so to call and express your interest in the position is almost useless. But i did, i even went after the managers at the store i was interested in an finally was able to speak with the hiring manger. the interview wasn't even an interview, by the time the whole process was over they had filled all the positions they needed. Basically they told me that the computer system returns a list of qualified candidates, and then the hiring manger only has to pick three for each position to interview and it's such a basic position that she just chooses randomly who to interview.
The best way to get the job: (from her own words) apply to many stores, over and over. AS long as you are qualified, eventually your name will make it onto that list of three. and you'll be interviewed.

Interview
the interview process went something along the lines of a typical situation where you are applying for a retail job. i applied then i called to follow up and they gave me an interview window. i chose a time and showed up for the interview

Didn’t hire because had one 6 hour period blacked out for my availability for a part time job. Was not able to work with me and wanted my time. I definitely would not recommend this to anyone
