Went from initial application to interview fairly quickly. In the interview the person interviewing said "I'll definitely be taking you to the next stage" which I thought was an odd overpromise. I was flattered, but if I was hiring I'd like to see more reservation in order to manage expectations. Was expecting to hear a week later, then nothing, then an email came through saying that they were definitely still interested and were waiting on other interviews. Kept kicking the can down the road. By this point I was either thinking that I wasn't good enough or if they did want me "do I really want to work for a business that takes this long to make decisions that don't respect my time". Unfortunately, it was that they didn't want me. That's ok, it happens, but could certainly have been handed a lot better. Quite disappointing because everything else seemed very positive
