There were several rounds including a practical test, and panel interviews with staff members and executive staff. My overall impression was of the rudeness of the superintendent. It was clear when I walked in that they had already decided on their preferred candidate. That's fine, but then why waste my time? As I was asking questions at the end of the interview, the superintendent abruptly cut me off and dismissed me. Didn't even bother to walk me to the door. Ironically, one of the questions in the interview was "how would you help us recruit top notch people?" Well ... for a start, be courteous to job candidates and don't treat them like pieces of meat! The district has indicated it is having a problem finding and keeping good people, as well as customers, and this is a perfect example of why that is happening.
