Worked with a third-party recruiter, so the process was pretty straightforward. After an intro call, they sent my info to the MM team and set up two interview rounds plus a test project. I met with the Art Director, questions were mostly about my design process and experience. I completed the test and was meant to present it to the CMO, but the interview was canceled. They later asked for revisions and canceled again. A few days later, the recruiter said they went in a different direction. I’ve since seen some of my test layouts used in their marketing, so it felt like they were fishing for ideas, just something to keep in mind.

I met with people on the design team and we reviewed what they were looking for and my past experience. My second round was with an outside consultant who was interesting and pleasant. Lastly, I met with one of the founders. I did a project that they were excited for and it was an easy fit.
