I interviewed at Manhattan Institute For Policy Research (New York, NY)
Interview
Pretty standard interview, first round to "weed out" the weirdos with HR and then second round was with higher-ups within the team. Third round CEO after being given a project. Ended up not hiring anyone for the role.

Interview
Conversational interview, some case study type questions, and some workplace situational questions, very interesting questions and felt like an interesting intellectual conversation. They were very respectful and had a collaborative feel to the organization, and interested in facts and data.

I applied online. I interviewed at Manhattan Institute For Policy Research
Interview
Applied online. Heard back about a month later to schedule interview. Interviewers provided no introductions and jumped into an immediate interrogation. One interviewer constantly cut me off when he was no longer interested in the reply and was on phone scrolling while I provided answers to questions. Clearly was not a fit, and never heard anything back from them months later. Mostly personal questions about ideology, work-ethic, skills, etc... if you had the chance to answer them.
Only time I've ever been close to leaving an interview because of the negative experience.
We're very sorry for this negative experience. We strive to create a positive interview environment, and it sounds like our screeners didn't live up to that standard in this case. We'll take this feedback and use it to improve how we conduct screenings. Thank you for sharing.
