This charity gave me one option to attend an interview at short notice (two days to put together a 10 minute presentation over the bank holiday weekend). When I asked for more time they insisted that it needed to be before the hiring manager went on holiday and suggested an interview a day later. One week on and I still haven't had any feedback despite being promised it by the end of the week. The PR woman asked me what I thought of their brand and values (after I'd already critiqued their previous campaign for free as part of the presentation). If this is how they conduct themselves then I suggest their brand health needs a lot of attention. The panel did nothing to sell me this role which I only applied for because I thought it would be interesting (the salary wasn't good) until I pressed them about why they enjoyed working for the charity. What a shocking experience to be ghosted by people with so little enthusiasm or manners. It's incredible how many organisations forget that interviewing is a two way thing. I have withdrawn from the process and have no desire to work for this unprofessional, uninspiring charity when there are so many worthwhile ones out there.
