Marrone Bio Innovations interview questions

Over the pandemic so I just had a half an hour phone call with a few members of the team I was applying for. Super casual. A few typical behavioral questions followed by problem solving and math questions that were related to being in the lab.

The interview was pretty straight-forward. They asked you about your experiences, regarding courses you have taken and if you have done lab research before. Although, there was one instance when they asked "if you were to design the experiment, how would you market it?", which I found to be weird. I answered the best I could, but then they claimed I lacked marketing knowledge, which is weird considering I am interviewing for a biology-related internship, not a marketing one. Note that they do not update you if you do not get an offer; basically, they will ghost you even if you follow up with them regarding your status, which is very unprofessional.
