I applied online. I interviewed at Maryland Legal Aid (Baltimore, MD)
Interview
They first bring you in for a group interview with the director, some attorneys, and other paralegals. They all ask you questions, but its more of a group discussion rather than an interrogation. If you're confident in your experience and like to talk then this process should go super smooth.I left this interview feeling super confident and excited about the position. The girls were all so nice and made me feel comfortable. The next interview is with the "executives" and it was one of the worst experiences of my life. The two women I had my interview with were very rude from the start and it was as if they were trying to pick me apart and find flaws. They questioned why I was at a firm for less than a year and I explained that it was an internship when I was in college, as it said on my resume and she rolled her eyes...As I would talk, this lady would make faces at me and she would talk to me in a very condescending tone. That's the problem with these lawyers and "executives" they think they are so much better than you. Nobody should have to go through that. My advice.... run
Phone screening followed by full team interview. Was asked about my interest in the position and the organization, and some hypothetical questions about how I would handle certain situations on the job.
