I had an onsite interview with HR, we met in the store in an open atmosphere - there was not closed of "HR" area. I did not meet with the department manager though we did discuss which departments interested me.

The HR person was very nice and friendly. We had casual talking to getting to know each other, and the interview process was just your typical why do you want to work here. The staff was friendly and helpful, seemed like a nice environment to work in.

Casual interview with an assistant general manager. Menards is built on a strong culture that is built through its employees up to its upper management and they really push that in the interview.
