After I applied to MSD, I was called and left a voicemail that they would only be offering interviews for one Tuesday. When I called back, I was told there was only one more time slot available and it was at 10am. With the weird constraints, I felt like they already had someone in mind and were just trying to "interview" people to fit a requirement. I agreed to the interview time anyway.
When I arrived, I was told it was a panel interview and between the more of a infrastructure manager, the direct manager, and an HR rep. I was given a lot of information up front, such as the benefits, salary expectations, and history of MSD.
The panel interview was pretty mediocre. They had a worksheet of questions to go through and would rank you based on those questions. If you hit the number they were looking for, you would qualify for a eligibility list they would choose a candidate from. The pros to the worksheet is that everyone would be asked the same question. However, if you asked them to word the question in a different way, the panel had a difficult time thinking of other ways to word the question.
Overall, it sounded like they were looking for someone with more experience than myself.
