I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at MiTek (Denver, CO) in May 2026
Interview
Initial call with recruiter. Second call with Hiring manager/dev team manager for culture fit/relevant experience. Final round onsite where you debug a program (2 functions) with bugs. There is an irrelevant built in function used as one of the for loop parameters so if you don't know ask about it. and then a 'system design' question where you are given 2 sentences and you have to reason about building a small scale system.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Vending machine system design problem with 5-8 vending machines. Create a system to help the client manage inventory, track payments, etc.
I drove to the office for a first round interview. The HR did not even have the courtesy to update me on the outcome.
The interview itself was average. Went for one hour. There seemed to be miscommunication between the job requirements and the requirements by the hiring manager.
Started with a Teams interview with the hiring manager, then a final technical interview over Teams with some members of the team and the manager. The offer came about 2 weeks later.
