      Sales Development Representative Interview

      7 Feb 2022
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Declined offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Miro in Dec 2021

      Interview

30 minute phone screener with recruiter, 30 minute call with hiring manager, 30 minute mock discovery call, 1 hour panel with manager and current SDR, then a final 30 minute executive interview with a VP. It's an extensive process but I appreciate that I got to talk with people in different positions. Overall it was a positive experience interviewing with Miro, but I passed on the offer as it was low for the market-rate and Miro plans on switching to a hybrid work model which just isn't necessary.

      Sales Development Representative Interview

      23 Sept 2021
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Austin, TX
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Miro (Austin, TX) in Sept 2021

      Interview

I only made it through three rounds of interviews. The first two rounds were incredibly curt and went through more than one last minute time change (I had an interview scheduled for 5:30 and the recruiter texted me at 5:31 asking if we could reschedule). The company is expanding very quickly, and they hold a lot of their SDRs in high-regard, which is incredible and not something I want to diminish. But at the same time, it can make the interviewer feel less important, and adds more stress to an already difficult experience. When I was able to speak with someone about the role, they seemed mostly apathetic towards my interest and experience, and more interested in explaining that I would need to ask a lot of questions- while at the same time they are so quick to get off the phone with you that you don't really have time to pick their brains without going over time (my second interview was 30 minutes, and they spent so much time talking that we didn't get to an opportunity to go over questions until 28 minutes in, and they made a point of reminding me that we only had 2 minutes left).

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Standard questions like: where do you see your career going? What are you looking for in your next role? What kind of experience do you have in SaaS sales? What kind of experience do you have in sales in general? How good are you at time management?
