I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Myer (Perth, Western Australia) in Sept 2025
Interview
The group interview has a few sessions. The interviewers will first talk about Myer and retail, and have a few open questions that anyone can answer (and it's okay not to say anything.) And then there are two sessions for people to do a role play as a pair, one play as the salesperson and the other as the customer. After that, anyone can ask questions if they have any.

Question 1
Role play – being a salesperson/customer and talk about the product on the table.
This was a group interview, The process involved explaining why you want to work in retail particularly why it is meaningful to you. The interview process involved an acting scenario where you were given a situation for example a customer is wanting to purchase a gift for their nephew and niece how would you help them in this scenario. There was a selection of products for you to choose from and explain to the customer (another interviewee acted as the customer). The interviewers (2) were warm and welcoming. We also were required to put in our availability at the interview and preference for department.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Myer (Melbourne) in Oct 2025
Interview
The group interview had about 8 candidates and 2 managers (one presenting a PowerPoint, the other observing).
First, we each introduced ourselves in a one-minute answer about who we are, why we enjoy retail, gift-giving, and the festive season. Next, we split into groups of 3 to discuss a scenario, focusing on teamwork and communication.
The final activity was a paired role-play where we took turns selling a product to each other.
Overall, the managers were really welcoming and the process was pretty chill and friendly.
