interview process was fully remote. was reached out to by a recruiter from nerdwallet. first round interview was with the recruiter. basic questions such as why nerdwallet, what is my salary expectation, why are you looking for a new role
The interview process has a phone screen and a code test online to start with, one hour time limit.
The next step was overwhelming: an entire day with interviews with various people including four technical interviews. The schedule included awkwardly scheduled breaks (e.g., a 45 minute break not long after a 15 minute break is just a time waster for a candidate).
This interview was going to take a full 7 hours, after already going through the screen and one hour time limit code test.
I declined to continue due to the lengthiness of the process. Companies should pay candidates when the interview comprises an entire business day.
When I politely declined to continue, I didn’t hear anything back from the company, they just canceled the calendar invite.

Question 1
I can’t reveal specifically the questions, but you should be able to write a function that converts an input data structure into an output without using any libraries that have been designed for such a purpose.

Three rounds. First was a recruiter screen. Next one was a general interview with an engineer, where they asked about my experience etc. Final round was a technical one.
Technical questions were fair. Recruiter took some time to get back to me but overall was a pleasant experience.
