I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at New Engen (Seattle, WA) in Aug 2018
Interview
I had my onsite interview scheduled from 10 to 1 and there was no break for lunch. If you are attending interview at New Engen, be prepared to starve while answering the interview questions. The interview covered some basic testing related questions and process. Some basic algorithm and sql questions. The fun part begins after the interview. The recruiter called me and informed that they are willing to move forward with an offer on a Wednesday. On Thursday, I was informed that the offer would be sent before end of the week and the recruiter wanted me to make a decision over the weekend, to which I agreed. In the mean time on Friday, I had sent some documents that they requested for. On Monday, I was informed that they are interviewing two more people for the open SDET position and that they would get back to me after the other two interviews. On Wednesday, I was told that other two candidates are selected for the open positions. This is most UNPROFESSIONAL company I have ever interviewed with. Had I told my current management about the offer, I would have been literally JOBLESS. The so called team at New Engen doesn't understand the importance of COMMITMENT, when they decide to give you an offer. If you need a job security, this is definitely not the place to be.
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We always strive to provide a great interview experience for all our candidates. We fell short of our expectations and I am sorry you had a bad experience. It is not representative of our standards and values and we have reevaluated our internal processes and communications to make sure it doesn't happen again.
