I applied through other source. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Northwestern Mutual (Beavercreek, OH) in Aug 2010
Interview
A friend refered me to this company. Went in and talked to head manager for about an hour. He was very friendly. Discussed the financial services business and Northwestern's approach. Basically a sales position that hopefully leads to more. Office was clean and professional. I was given instructions to take an online aptitude test. Pending on the results, I would be invited back for a second interview. There are three interviews total, and a possible fourth. The fourth is if they are unsure about hiring you.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Northwestern Mutual (Tucson, AZ) in Feb 2025
Interview
Interviews were very easy. Didn't feel like there was any competition. Met with a recruiter, director of growth, and didn't go through with final interview. Needed to fill out referrals sheet and conduct interviews that concluded with asking if they would be interested in my service.
I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Northwestern Mutual (Rockland, MA) in Mar 2024
Interview
Teams call with the director of recruiting who was herself a skilled salesperson and had her script memorized to a tee. This was clearly a commission sales job where the candidate would have to use their own connections to generate their own leads. But, the product isn't terrible or outside my wheelhouse so I was interested in continuing with the process. I then failed their outdated "personality test", the type which has been debunked as completely ineffective, so the director of recruiting told me my candidacy was "on pause".
