30 minute interview w/ a senior “leader” who kept asking questions back-to-back without giving any room for pauses and kept pressing on time. Questions were irrelevant to the role and didn't seem to gauge engineering pragmatism or experience. Consequently, I never got a chance to ask the important questions about their customers, product, current strategy, runway, engineering culture, etc. all of which are 🔑 for any professional looking to join a start-up. An interview is a two-way street and the start of an employer/employee relationship. Would expect more from individuals in senior leadership positions and it seems like they don’t have it together here 🚩. Talented engineers should look elsewhere.
