I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at OSI Optoelectronics
Interview
Interview process was straightforward and often involved dealing with several people. Very willing to negotiate if they want you. They ask questions to know more about your background, abilities, and thinking process rather than focusing on your technical abilities. Technical questions are more to place you in a range of experience rather than quality of employee
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What was one challenge you faced in your project and how did you resolve or work around the issue? Was this a team decision or was this something you led and ran resolve the problem?
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at OSI Optoelectronics (Hawthorne, CA)
Interview
Was initially called by recruiter. After finding out about the position more, they arranged for a phone interview with an engineer to gauge basic knowledge and resume background. They had me come to 2 onsite interviews (about 4-6 weeks apart).
The interviews lasted about 4 hours each. There were several rounds of interviews, with people rotating in to ask me questions. Some of the questions were about my resume & background, others were specific technical questions. There is a free response technical test at the end of the interview that has various EE related questions.
