Interview process was very smooth. Had interview with HM and his superior. Was surprised after the two interviews to receive a "rejection" letter where the Hiring Manager wrote me an email telling me he backchanneled references (unethical) without my consent.

8 interviews total; recruiter, hiring manager, 1 rep on the team, 1 rep from another team, 1 rep from another team, VP, 1 manager from another team, 1 manger from another team. hindsight: if you don't know the candidate is a good fit by the 3rd-4th interview, then they probably are not. took 3 months from first interview to offer.

Smooth. Very engaging. Lots of thoughtful interactions. Good questions. Good format. Pitch their product or your own. Nothing out of the ordinary. Multiple rounds. Multiple people. Transparent feedback from each person.
