Got to schedule an interview right after submitting my application. I interviewed with what I believe was a FOH mgr. I was informed that they hire the To Go position internally. Why I was allowed to apply, I will never know. She asked if I was interested in any other positions there. I said the Hostess position would be okay, from there I could move into the To Go position. No problem. Everything was going great. Got a little tour. Then I was told to come back and speak with the GM in two days. I show up (early) for the second interview. The rude and ghetto looking hostess asked me to write my name down and the position I was interviewing for. (Like we were involved in a weird hostage negotiation or something). I then waited for half an hour to be interviewed. Basically, the entire time I was waiting, the "GM" was just hanging out chatting with the hostess. Literally a few feet from me. The GM should have been aware of the interview before the hostess informed her. She was acting as if she wasn't aware that she had an interview that day and that I was sitting right there. Finally, another manager ended up interviewing me. Everything was going great. He was even going to give me another tour. It was like no one was aware that this was my 2nd interview. The manager stepped away for a minute to speak with the GM. He then informed me that they didn't have any hours for hostess or to go. As if To Go were an option. The first person who interviewed me seemed to think I could be of use as a hostess. I was offered a position as a server, but that is exactly what I am trying to avoid. I have done that extensively and most people are so horrible, that I will not do it again. They said that they would call me something came up for the Hostess or To Go positions. Keep in mind, these were jobs listed on their website and that I had already interviewed for and was actually at a 2nd interview for. I'm thinking maybe the GM didn't want her rude hostess buddy to lose any hours. IDK. Very weird to go to a second interview for a job that doesn't exist. I guess I won't hold my breath for that phone call.
