Applied online, saw ad on Monster originally but applied through Springleaf site directly. I believe initial contact was via email to schedule time for a phone interview. During the time I specified, received a call to gauge interest in position and schedule ACTUAL phone interview for a couple days later. This was a 30 min interview covering things on my resume and why I was interested in Springleaf. NOTE: at this point they will want to know your willingness to relocate. If you are not willing they won't give you the face to face. From what I understand they train you for two years then want you to move into branch manager position and this will most likely involve relocation.
Next is face to face with branch manager in location you applied for. This is more of a behavioral interview with a bunch of "Tell me about a time..." Mostly customer service oriented, above and beyond, got creative to make a sale, overcame an objection to close a sale.
If you get good feedback from the branch manager, they will set you up with the district manager. Could be at another location close by. This interview was semi-behavioral, but more conversational. Getting an idea if you will be a good fit with the DM, and more in depth explanation of work and position. I like to ask a lot of questions and they were happy to answer, so feel free. Personally, I found it very comfortable and hit it off with the DM so it was easy. Dress for the organization is business casual, but as with any interview, dress to impress. I wore my suit and I don't think it hurt.
Got a call 2 days later with an offer to start in 2 weeks.
