      Imaging Software Engineer Interview

      17 May 2022
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Tampere
      Declined offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Optofidelity (Tampere) in Aug 2021

      Interview

The interview was really smooth and good, after the intro. They asked about Imaging and camera algorithms, some real-world problems and possible solutions. Then, asked some HR and team-related questions. The coding test was a homework assignment (without any specific deadline, it's really reasonable, because job seekers do not apply for only one job and it happens someone has many interviews in a day and assuming each of them drops an assignment on the email inbox with a deadline and without any question if you are available or not would be really rude). I had one session code review for the assignment, and I learned a lot in that session as well. It's really important for teamwork if in the interview someone asks you to read your code and explain it.
