I applied online and got contacted for the first phone interview. Then I proceeded to panel group interview with senior managers and another group interview with the analysts. Got a low ball offer then declined it.
They sounded nice at first but it's only getting worse from there. Through out the whole process, they're super vague about the position and expectation. It's very unclear about what they're looking for. I felt like they only wanted to hire me because of my qualifications and educations and did not care if I'd be the right fit. They offered me a salary that was 30K lower than the number I gave them initially. They asked me many questions about my current salary which I refused to answer. They also try to discount my skills and experience before offering me the ridiculous low number which I'd never accept. Overall, it was such a waste of time since I had clearly communicated with them about compensation expectation. They kept telling me they don't have a budget or limit in terms of compensation for this position, which can be translated as "we do not have money". It's super disrespect and unethical to try to discount people's value just because you can't afford them. This doesn't sound like a great company that can thrive in the long term so please consider twice before applying for any position or talking to them.
