      Customer Service Representative Interview

      28 Jan 2015
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Port Washington, NY
      No offer
      Negative experience

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Pall (Port Washington, NY)

      Interview

In all my years I have never experienced anything quite like this interview process, and since this company uses outsourced recruiters they should be aware of the lack of professionalism towards candidates and who they are being represented by. After a brief phone interview I was told to expect a call from a specific person for more info and to set up a day to go in. Well that never happened and instead I just received a random call from someone completely different and to just pick a time they had offered me, which I did. For my interview I was emailed instructions of time, etc & who to ask for when I got there. Not only were their errors on the correspondence they sent me but they had me ask for the wrong person when I got there. After a few days had passed since my interview with no communication, I get a random email confirming my already scheduled next round of interviews which caught me off guard. No one even actually bothered to call me and tell me they wanted to meet with me again, but yet I was sent an actual confirmed interview day & time that they took upon themselves to set up on my behalf without even corresponding with me, the candidate. I told them I was not aware of this and the recruiter via email said oh you weren't already contacted about this by so and so? No I was not and I asked if she even realized that I was there last week? She replied yes but this is to meet with someone else. Really? I told her no one has contacted me since. Do they just randomly fill up managements calender to make it look they're working without actually scheduling with the candidate and assuming we're fine with that? How about letting me know rather then schedule an appt on my behalf without my knowledge?? I actually felt her embarrassment but I never responded because I wanted to wait for her to clarify the mix up which she never even did. Instead, the next day I get a completely unprofessional email from someone completely different saying they need me to come back and to please reach back out to the previous person, followed a little while later by the same already scheduled interview email from her confirming that very same appointment that I never made; and revised with additional information. When questioned on how they can just take it upon themselves to schedule appointments without confirming with the candidate I was of course lied too and was told oh it was just an open invitation to see if you were available that day, meanwhile this is now the day before. Sure it was.. with a date & time and who I was to be meeting with. This was truly unbelievable to me. If this was just the interview process I cant even imagine what the actual hiring process would be like. Management please realize why you are losing potential candidates and why I would never even go back for a second round of interviews; I can't imagine that Im the only one. Thanks but I will pass.
