I applied for the District Head of Human Resources – East, with Panalpina, located out of Atlanta GA, USA.
I was very excited when I received an email on Wednesday, 12/6, from one of the members of the talent acquisition team to set up a call on 12/10 or 12/11, to discuss the HR position. I responded stating that I was available on 12/10. A few days passed, and I never heard back, so on 12/12, I sent another email, and finally received a response informing me that I would receive a call on Thursday 12/13 at 4pm. On Thursday, 12/13, I did not receive a call as promised. A few minutes later, I received an email from the recruiter stating that she was running late and would call me in 15 minutes. 30 minutes passed, and I did not receive a call, so I emailed the recruiter and stated that if it would be easier, I could also make myself available the following day (Friday 12/14). The recruiter emailed me back, thanked me, and said that she would call me at 3pm on Friday, 12/14. On 12/14, I was ready and waiting to speak with the recruiter and never received a call, nor did I receive an email explaining why I was not contacted.
On 2/23/19, I received the following email:
Thank you for your application for the position 157996 - District Head of Human Resources, East (Director/Sr. HRBP level).
After careful review of your application, we are sorry to inform you that we cannot consider you for this position.
We regret having to give you this unfavourable reply and wish you all the best for your career.
Yours sincerely,
Panalpina Recruiting Team
Needless to say I was extremely disgusted by this email and the Panalpina Recruiting Team. This is unacceptable and does not reflect well on Panalpina.
