      I applied online. I interviewed at Pasadena Media

      It felt awkward as three interviewers sat on one side a long table, with me their subject on the other side: an office executive, a very young producer, and someone who seemed to be their overall studio coordinator, though I discovered later is also a local Christian Minister (which certainly influenced his holier-than-thou demeanor). None of them seemed to have had any real world experience in production outside of public access.

      Question 1

      At one point, they turned serious and reminded me that working in a TV studio required climbing a ladder to point the lights. "Do you think you're capable of climbing a ladder?" they asked. It was quite obvious, as I was older then all three interviewers, that they were concerned someone more senior than themselves wouldn't have the physical ability to negotiate steps. Y'know, someone with more than 30-years experience working in studios, as well as a history of intense physical "running and gunning" shooting reality cop shows. Ageism is real, my friends...
