      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Pearson in Sept 2017

      Interview

Interview over skype with QA Director in the states. Very nice lady and was an enjoyable interview. After Numerous pestering and emails finally received feedback from the interview which in my experience is unprofessional.

      QA Manager Interview

      16 Sept 2015
      Anonymous interview candidate
      London, England
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Pearson (London, England) in Sept 2015

      Interview

Contacted by their internal recruitment team who were very polished and professional. Following a screening call with them, was invited in for a face to face. Met with hiring manager and two other senior team members in London office and following brief intro's from them, I was then asked the standard, "tell me about yourself and run through your CV for me" which never instills confidence, especially when a recently printed out copy sits in front of them with no notes scribbled down and you're the only one in the room who has a copy of the job spec. I was then asked some of the most rudimentary questions you can be asked for a job of this nature and for good measure, every question was then invariably repeated but from an opposite perspective. Session was very scripted and had no flow or vibe to it. What was worse is that when they finally finished, I was given just four minutes to ask questions before they were due in another meeting which I used to try and get information about the existing team and what they were actually looking for (as that had yet to be discussed) for which i received vague responses. I decided that this was a definite no before I'd even left the building however there is another stage for those that persist with a set of google hangout chats. This will be with people from the U.S. office and other locations as needed if you get past the hiring manager stage.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Tell me about a time you advised against a project going live? When you advised against but they decided to go live anyway? Describe your management style? How do you know how much testing is enough? How do you know when to stop testing? Tell me about your weaknesses?
