I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at PetSmart in Oct 2011
Interview
I had to hound the store management several times to make sure they were actually looking at my file; management told me each time they would look at the application. It took them three months to finally say they had reviewed my application and were interested in an interview.
I did not have much experience in the specific position I was being interviewed for, but during the interview process they were impressed with my willingness to work and my previous experiences and positions, which were all similarly hard labor. I was almost hired on the spot.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
One of their most important questions they will ask will deal with how you do with stressful situations, and this is important considering that the grooming salon is THE MOST stressful place in the store, with customers being very protective of their dogs and the dogs often being heavier and stronger than most people can handle or trying to bite you.
I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at PetSmart in Apr 2026
Interview
The interview was relaxed and informal, with a focus on personality and enthusiasm for the role rather than a structured set of questions. The interviewer asked about four questions, and the rest of the conversation was more open and allowed me to ask questions as well.
I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at PetSmart in Jun 2025
Interview
They have a company sheet. They read it off to you and then fill it in. It’s about 30-45 mins. Usually do next day interview when they call you. Two rounds of interview too.

Interview
I have an interview tomorrow but the process to apply online was fairly easy. I waited about 4 days and ended up calling the locations that I applied at since I had not heard back. They pulled up my application then scheduled the interview!
