I applied through university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Point72 (Stamford, CT) in Sept 2014
Interview
It consisted of two phone calls and a superday. The phone calls were because I was not located in NY at the time. The first was behavioral + mental math + brain teasers. The second was a case study. The case study is extremely difficult to prepare for because it could be a completely random business you've never thought about before. Prepare by learning business frameworks and how to structure such answers well!
The superday is up in their office. You'll meet people from all levels.
CV screen followed by case study, comparing two businesses and a pitch at the end, followed by HR screen. I’m on the website to find out about remaining stages, was told only two more interviews.
Three rounds: initial case study, then hr call, then coaching round, sometimes an additional coaching round. The process was really slow, and the turn around of each round takes up to two weeks.
First round was a case, then the second round was an HR screen. The third and final round is a meeting with a PM. Hard to know ahead of time what you may or not be asked.
