      VP Interview

      28 Aug 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Boulder, CO
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at PopSockets (Boulder, CO) in Jul 2025

      Interview

Quick first couple rounds, though should have known something was off. First "phone interview" was a Zoom video interview where they added a second person without any pre-warning. Felt odd, but okay. Following that, they reached out on a Wednesday asking if I could fly to Boulder on Monday to present in front of the executive team, which I did. Spent 3 hours interviewing then another hour having lunch with the CEO. The next week, another interview with the incumbent, followed by a request for references. Then... NOTHING but silence until they reposted the job, and still did not have the courage to email and say they weren't interested. To be very clear, I'm not bitter about not being chosen, that's all part of this, but to ghost a VP level candidate like this is telling of the way they will treat the rest of the employees. It's honestly embarrassing and shameful that a company of this size behaves this way. Read the rest of the reviews and interviews - I'm not the only one this happened to. Don't overlook the negativity thinking its bitter ex-employees, what everyone is saying is true.
