I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Port of Seattle in Dec 2021
Interview
First there was a group Panel interview with every person on the team that I was joining. Several days later, the top few candidates were asked to complete a take-home test for which I had 24 hours to complete
I completed an initial virtual interview a few months ago. It was very straightforward and professional. They asked a series of relevant questions, with the information available in the chat. We had a couple minutes at the end for questions and they were very responsive. I wasn't selected but it seemed like a professionally run process.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Port of Seattle (Seattle, WA) in Feb 2025
Interview
The interview was over Teams, no camera. Three people interviewed me. Unfortunately, there were some IT glitches and the audio kept cutting out - they had to repeat themselves several times - and it was only 30 minutes long, so I didn't feel that was enough time to really sell myself. One of the interviewers asked very specific situational questions that I couldn't easily answer. I was also very nervous, which didn't help, and it felt rushed at times.

Question 1
Why are you interested in working here? Mostly standard interview questions, although it became apparent that they wanted me to have a specific background that 1) I didn't have and 2) wasn't explicitly listed in the job description.
