      Administration Interview

      28 Apr 2018

      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Potomac School (McLean, VA) in Mar 2018

      Interview

The first interview was a 45 min call. Then they strung me along for over a month, telling my recruiter I was their 1st choice and to expect to come in, then used various excuses each week to not move on to the next phase. About 3 weeks in, after alerting me I should be ready, the day I was to come in came and went with the Principal apparently deciding to go on a surprise vacation without having read my resume, or okaying me to come in. Every week something like this happened to string me along with the promise of a great job with nice benefits that I was told I was on the verge of getting each week. In the fifth week after this whole process started, they called my recruiter to reiterate how much they still had their sights set on me and just needed a big, final interview to get things rolling. They scheduled 4.5 hours worth of interviews where I met with four different teams and/or individuals. The follow-up feedback was phenomenal, they had canceled everyone but me from both agencies and that after they conferred as a team, they'd call with the details I needed. The following Monday they called my recruiter to say, that though the panel of interviewers had hands down chosen me, they went with a co-worker's relative/friend (?) as a last minute favor to them instead! What a waste of over a month and many hours of interviewing and being led to believe I was in process of being hired for a job I was so relieved and grateful to finally get. Rude, Inconsiderate, and a waste of valuable time from start to finish!

      Question 1

They asked me many different ways if I felt that I could handle high-stress situations with many different issues coming at me all at once on a daily basis.
