I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Premiere Digital Services (Los Angeles, CA) in Jan 2024
Interview
Horrifying. I was treated like a number, as if my order was being called at McDonald's. The recruiter didn't even make eye contact through the Zoom call. When he confirmed the extremely low pay and I said it was lower than when I was offered the same position six years ago at THAT company, he abruptly terminated the call with a 'good luck'. Then I got the insulting 'We hired someone else' email within a half hour. I know people who have worked here before. It has a high turnaround for a reason. Dodge the bullet. For what they are paying, might as well work AT McDonald's.

Interview
I applied online via LinkedIn and was invited a few weeks later to do a Zoom interview with the hiring manager and his manager. I wasn't asked for my availability, I was given a time and date. I was also provided the exact hourly wage for the job, so it sounds like there wasn't any room for negotiation or consideration of prior experience. The number also seemed rather low given the job expectations.
The hiring manager seemed very bored and was not engaged at all during the interview; he clearly had not even read my resume as he asked if I was still with (my most recently listed company) and it clearly states that I had left months ago. Several red flags I got were 1) The expectation was that I would come into the office upon starting, which was especially weird given that the hiring manager was clearly interviewing me from home so I didn't understand why I wouldn't be allowed to do the same. 2) The hiring manager's wife/girlfriend/roommate someone was on a call in the background in the same room and talking loudly over me during the interview and I found it very difficult to think through what I was trying to say. He didn't apologize or mention the awkward situation. I understand during COVID that things are weird and working from home isn't always ideal, but given that he was the one that set the time, he should have chosen a better time to avoid the conflict, or been able to find another room or go outside or something. 3) I was supposed to meet with two people and he told me that the other was busy in a meeting and wouldn't be able to meet with me. Again, they set the time so I'm not sure why there was a conflict.
Unsurprisingly, I got an email a week later that said "Regrettably, I must inform you that we are unable to offer you the position at this time".
