      Recruitment Consultant Interview

      25 Apr 2024
      Anonymous interview candidate
      London, England
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at QXi (London, England) in Apr 2024

      Interview

My biggest problem is the fact that Montash or the recruiter they used didn't get in touch with me to update whether I got the job or not. It's been over a month and both the recruiter and Montash won't pick up the phone. If you have someone who's taken half of their day to go into London (financial and time expenses) plus the time preparing and leading up to it ... the least you can do is send out an automated email informing the candidate that they have been unsuccessful instead of essentially ghosting them. For a company that defines itself as being transparent and valuing relationships ... not informing candidates is extremely low and bad practice. Especially given the fact it's your entire business ... to deal with candidates. So if you're sourcing your own candidates surely the least they deserve is "Sorry you didn't get the job". If they treat potential candidates who are applying to work at Montash ... imagine how they treat candidates they are sourcing for clients. This poor treatment is indicative of their culture and how they treat people both internally and externally. I also found the environment a bit weird if I'm totally honest... sort of like secondary school vibes. People banging on their desk and cheering over a deal they made. Isn't that your job ... to make deals and get contracts? The cheers would get quieter and sound more forced as it got later into the day. Also how do you get your work done if you're constantly doing drum rolls and cheering? A little bit cringe but I guess it's a release from the stressful environment.
