I was referred by an external recruiter. I was first called for an interview with a product owner and a tester. I went to the interview, I checked in on that device they have at the reception. The product owner showed up 5 minutes later to pick me up.
The tester did not show up, instead someone from sales replaced him. Interview was smooth, the product owner told me there is going to be an “IQ” test (HFM test) which I expressed unpleasantly that I prefer not to go through but instead a technical test. He aggressively stopped me before continuing saying that either the test or I’m out of the process. I agreed to do it which is something I shouldn’t have done.
Next I was called for a technical interview with that tester who didn’t show up and a devops. Interview was good. I was given a ridiculous case and a technical assignment to do. I aced the technical assignment, the case was ridiculous. It had open questions that Quby people already have defined answers. Finally they asked me to come for a final interview with the Internal recruiter and a manager.
I can’t tell how it was because they asked behavioral questions and I answered honestly. Then came the case presentation. I went through my presentation and gave a demo of my technical solution. I was accused that I went through it fast (for a non technical HR who doesn’t know a thing about software of course it’s gonna be fast) and that I’m not a cultural fit for them (it took them 3 interviews to know this, so bravo for their process) because I was not (and I quote) “a$$hole in answering the questions” because that’s their (and again I quote) “dutch self”.
