I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at REI in Jun 2020
Interview
Online interview. Received an email shortly after submitting the application. The email gave me a link that would direct me to a webpage that I would record myself answering questions. Once the question was given you would have about three minutes to answer as it records, and you get to make three practice attempts. For those of us that havent recorded themselves talking it was a bit of a challenge for your personality to be genuine. Overall I did not like the interview process, but given the circumstances of the covid virus I understand why they do this.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Name a time when you did not achieve the results you wanted.
Group interviews were friendly and well managed. Staff were kind and understanding. Good and thoughtful interview process. I appreciate the relaxed atmosphere at the store and when speaking with the interviewers.
The interview process was simple and over the phone. Then I went in person. She was very nice, but the store manager was a bit off. Ultimately, it just wasn't a good fit.
Submitted resume online then they wanted me to do a really stupid video interview where I answer questions from a prompt and video record myself giving answers. Just schedule a normal interview you idiots.
