Applied through linked-in for a developer support engineer position.
-within a week i was invited in for a zoom call with a recruiter.
-during the interview with the recruiter i was found to be a better fit for a different role, at the end of the zoom call i was scheduled to have a zoom call with the head of the web development department a few days later.
-during the zoom call with the head of the web dev department the call lasted a half an hour and at the end of the call was asked if i could complete a coding challenge. I was asked a time i could set aside 48 hours to complete the challenge. I was told the challenge would be taking a photoshop design and translating it into html and sass. No javascript in challenge.
-I did the challenge and turned it back in within 24 hours, and then did not hear anything for over a week. I had to reach out several times before i could get back any kind of updates.
-I then received a generic 'do not reply' rejection email a day before thanksgiving, with no feedback or reasoning as to why i was not selected to move forward, even though my challenge was pixel perfect with the design.
-I reached out to the recruiter just asking for some simple feedback on improvement and was ghosted.
