      Account Executive Interview

      6 Dec 2024
      Anonymous interview candidate
      San Francisco, CA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Rattle (San Francisco, CA)

      Interview

Super long inteview process for a Startup of this size. Multiple interviews and presentations. I received excellent feedback from everyone I interviewed with and was told I did an amazing job on my presentation from everyone including the VP who would essentially be my manager. Then the final CEO interview came and it was awkward. Weird questions and vibe checks. CEO was clearly looking for "certain" candidates rather than ones that would be the best fit and most successful for the role. I didn't check that box and didn't get the position. Would not recommend this company or energy it takes to interview.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Standard Sales questions. The 1 hour presenation took a lot of time and practice. I've been in SaaS sales for 10+ years and know I crushed it, the Hiring team agreed. It just comes down to the awkard and not needed CEO interview. Do that at the front if you're not interviewing based on experience, record and who would actually be best for the job.

      New York, NY
      Declined offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I interviewed at Rattle (New York, NY)

      Interview

Went through the usual steps, was asked about previous experience and was asked to create a presentation deck on their product and present to them. The process was done with founders and was relatively straight forward.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Asked about my previous position and why I would be a good fit for the company.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Rattle (San Francisco, CA)

      Interview

Overall sloppy and poor experience. Process = HR call, two video interviews with leadership, deck presentation, and final call with CEO. The company felt unprofessional throughout the entire process, forgetting things, tons of grammatical errors in communications, and last-minute reschedules. With how much time and energy someone puts into an interview, you should feel just as much from the hiring team as they move you to the very end. However, this was absolutely not the case with Rattle.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Basic questions about previous roles, etc... They focus way too much on MEDDIC as the end all be all for sales, so maybe focus on that dated material.
